Engine Specifications

Starting at MSRP $19,090, the model is available in FE, GT Line, GT, and GT Manual. The 2022 Kia Forte gives out a power-packed performance and has several state-of-the-art features. All trims stand out in the performance ratings, not to mention the fact that the vehicle was listed amongst the top-performing midsize sedans for the year 2022.

It is equipped with a standard 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder DOHC 16-valve engine for most of the trims. Although the GT and GT Manual trim come with a turbocharged 1.6-liter inline four-cylinder DOHC 16-valve engine, the 2.0-liter engine generates 147 horsepower with 132 lb.-ft. of torque. And the 1.6-liter engine generates 201 horsepower and 195 lb.-ft. of torque. The standard 2.0-liter engine is paired with a CVT automatic transmission while the latter engine is paired with either a six-speed automatic manual transmission or a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission system. As for the fuel economy, the model gets 31 MPG on the city, 41 MPG on the highway, with a combined MPG of 35.
