Is Kia adding a new electric vehicle to its lineup?

The annual worldwide automotive exposition circuit kicked off its first major European date in Switzerland at the Geneva International Motor Show. Kia certainly attracted a lot of attention at auto shows in Detroit and Chicago with its all-new Telluride crossover SUV. However, the manufacturer is moving in a slightly different direction across the pond. So, is Kia adding a new electric vehicle to its lineup? Breaking driver’s dependence on fossil fuels is a prime objective for most automakers, including Kia. They already have a hybrid sedan and crossover SUV, but this new concept vehicle could eliminate the need for gasoline altogether. Let’s take a look at what could very well be coming to the Classic Kia Carrollton showroom in the future. (more…)

Kia Display Simulation of Technologies including R.E.A.D. System

Kia has a lot of incredible technologies in store for the 2019 Consumer Electronics Show. These technologies are so exciting, that the brand has given us a sneak peek at some of them. All of the technologies will be combined into a ‘Space of Emotive Driving’ exhibit, with the centerpiece being the R.E.A.D. System – aka Real-time Emotion Adaptive Driving. Rather than focusing on automated driving technology, which a whole slew of manufacturers and other tech companies are currently doing, Kia is looking ahead to a time beyond autonomous driving, when connected vehicles are commonplace. Technologies like the R.E.A.D. System will be important in that future. (more…)

Kia brought quite a few exciting things to the 2018 LA Auto Show this year, and we’ve already talked about two of them. The third and final new vehicle that Kia introduced at the unofficial kick-off of auto show season was the 2020 Kia Soul EV, a completely electrified version of the all-new, redesigned Soul. It makes sense that Kia’s most iconic vehicle would be one of the few to take its turn at electrification, and we cannot wait to see how successful the newest version is. It’s unclear how widespread availability of the all-new vehicle will be, but we’ll keep our fingers crossed that the 2020 Kia Soul EV will make its way to us here in Carrollton TX. (more…)

This means that drivers will have all the benefits of driving a crossover, with the added bonus of not needing to pay for gas. The release date is expected to arrive before the end of 2018, which means it could be arriving any day now. (more…)
