One thing that Kia brought to the 2018 SEMA Show was more exciting than everything else, and that’s because it’s a future vehicle that will actually be produced and released as part of the lineup. The vehicle in question? A 2020 Kia Forte GT, which takes the 2019 Forte’s Stinger inspirations to a whole new level. Featuring a turbocharged engine and other performance upgrades, this will be the highest performing Forte ever to grace the lineup, and we simply cannot wait for its official arrival.

So, what do we know about the vehicle thus far? We know it will have certain trim levels that enhance the performance aesthetic of the Forte GT even further, with things like a gloss black grille and red accents. But perhaps more exciting than its performance, the Forte GT will be powered by a turbocharged 1.6L 4-cylinder engine capable of generating 201 horsepower alongside 195 pound-feet of torque, and that it’ll be tethered to either a 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual clutch transmission.

The sedan will also be packed with plenty of other performance upgrades as well as other technologies like the Kia Drive Wise suite of safety features and plenty of entertainment tech.
