Young Cowboy Face while Kia Motors Teases Super Bowl Campaign with Launch of The Great Unknowns

What is Kia doing for its Super Bowl campaign?

The Super Bowl is one of the biggest advertising events of the year, each and every year. Many believe that more people watch the Super Bowl for the commercials than for the sport, as it has become known for having the biggest, the best, the most outlandish and the most star-studded commercials ever made. Big name companies push themselves further and further, shelling out tons of money – not just for the ad slot itself, but for production and casting of their commercials. No stranger to innovation, this year Kia is doing something a little different.

Kia’s Advertising Plan

Ahead of the big game, Kia has given a bit of insight into its advertising plan. Rather than forking over millions of dollars for celebrity endorsements or CGI hamsters, Kia will instead be introducing and launching a brand-new scholarship called The Great Unknowns Scholarship. Little is known about the scholarship at this point, but we’re sure to learn more when the 30-second ad launches on February 3rd. The teaser, which you can see pictured above, reads as follows:

“Every year, millions of dollars are spent on celebrity endorsements in big game ads. This year, we’re doing something different. Instead of handing checks to celebrities, we’re launching The Great Unknowns Scholarship to help young people in need get a foothold in higher education. Here’s to the great unknowns!”

We cannot wait to learn more and will certainly share the ad here on our website once it becomes available!
