Our first look at the Telluride as a production model came at New York Fashion Week last year. Our second look came at the 2018 SEMA Show when Kia brought a whole host of upgraded & well-equipped versions of the SUV to display. Finally, our third look at the 2020 Kia Telluride came at the 2019 North American International Auto Show earlier this week, when we got our first real glimpse of what the production model everyone would be able to get their hands on is going to look like. But we didn’t just get a physical look at the Telluride, we got tons of information on the actual specs & features the midsize crossover.

The new Telluride will slide into the lineup just above the Kia Sorento, making it the largest Kia model ever built. Powered by a 3.8L V6 engine, the Telluride is capable of generating 291 horsepower alongside 262 pound-feet of torque. While fuel economy ratings have yet to be discovered, we imagine things will roll out similarly to the Sorento, though the larger size of the Telluride might mean sacrificing a few miles per gallon.
The Telluride is packed with far too many features to cover in a single blog. We’ll be sure to highlight the different aspects of the Telluride – from safety features to general technology, to convenience and utility and everything in between – in the weeks to come, but for now, we thought we’d highlight just a few of the most exciting. Some of the advanced technologies available in the Telluride include Blind Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist Rear, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Avoidance Assist, Lane Following Assist, Safe Exit Assist, Highway Driving Assist, Head-Up Display, Driver Talk, Quiet Mode and Rear Occupant Alert.
