While the standard Optima was refreshed for the new model year, the Kia Optima Hybrid will continue on as a carryover model after its redesign just a couple of years ago. The Optima Hybrid kicked off in 2011, breaking a Guinness World Record in its freshman year, and has been a great hybrid sedan option ever since. Now this year, the 2019 Kia Optima Hybrid in Carrollton TX is available in just one trim level that continues to be an outstanding option.
Obviously the downfall of there being only one trim level is that there are less options to choose from, but the bonus is that you know you’re getting the very best that the model has to offer no matter. You’ll still have options, like add-on content and what color you want, so it doesn’t remove all customization. In our opinion, we think it’s great the Optima Hybrid is only available in the one trim now, and we’ll highlight some of its specs & features below.
So, the Optima Hybrid HEV EX, as the trim level is called, is powered by a 2.0L 4-cylinder hybrid powertrain, which is capable of generating a net 192 horsepower alongside 271 pound-feet of torque, which are pretty impressive numbers for a hybrid sedan. In addition, the Optima Hybrid achieves 39 miles per gallon through city streets like those here in Carrollton, and 45 mpg when it hops on the highway.
As for features, the Optima hybrid is packed with them. Among them are, of course, a host of Driver Assistance Features, several of which come standard. Standard technologies include Blind-spot Collision Warning, Parking Distance Warning-Reserve and Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning. Available technologies that you can choose to opt in on include Forward Collision Warning, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist-Ped, Lane Departure Warning and Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go.
There is plenty more beyond just these specs & features to get excited about, so if you’d like to learn more don’t hesitate to call. Otherwise, schedule a test drive here on this page and we’ll see you at your earliest convenience!
