Compact sedans have come a long way since the segment’s humble beginnings. Kia is looking to widen that gap with the introduction of the 2020 Forte and its new GT models. The new 2020 Kia Forte GT models will stand out from the rest of the sedan’s lineup by offering a sporty gloss black grille with red accents, which will match the material used for the heated side mirrors, side sills and rear spoiler.
LED headlights and a two-tone exterior paint scheme will also be found with the new Kia Forte GT. A number of interior enhancements have are included on the GT1 and GT1 subversions of the 2020 Forte. Both coming versions of the 2020 Kia Forte GT will employ a turbocharged, 1.6-liter, inline four-cylinder engine that will be attached to a sporty six-speed manual transmission. Kia engineers have tuned the new powertrain to be able to produce 201 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque.
