2021 Kia Telluride vs 2021 Toyota Highlander
With all of the all-new Kia lineups headed their way to Classic Kia of Carrollton in the Dallas-Fort Worth area of Texas, it’s not unsurprising that many are thinking the 2021 model year will be the best in Kia history. But let’s not forget about the other all-new Kia lineups that have been released recently – especially the new Kia Telluride lineup that made its debut during the 2020 model year.
But we’re not here to talk about the 2020 Kia Telluride lineup. Instead, we’re here to talk about the 2021 Kia Telluride and the upgrades it enjoys in its second model year – upgrades that have seated it firmly at the head of its class. And, yes, we’re ready to prove that point – and we’re going to do so right here in this 2021 Kia Telluride versus 2021 Toyota Highlander SUV comparison.
Is the 2021 Kia Telluride a Smarter SUV Purchase than the 2021 Toyota Highlander?
The short answer to that question is yes, but don’t worry, we’re going to get quite a bit more in depth than just a simple yes.
And we’re going to start things off by checking out the power ratings of these two SUV lineups. In terms of horsepower and torque, these two SUV lineups aren’t too different at all. In fact, there’s only a 4 horsepower difference and a one pound-foot torque difference.
The difference between cargo space, however, is much more palatable. More specifically, the 2021 Telluride lineup provides you with 21 cubic-feet of cargo room with all seats in place and 87 cubic-feet of total cargo room, whereas the 2021 Highlander lineup provides you with only 16 cubic-feet of cargo room with all seats in place and only 84.3 cubic-feet of total cargo room.
