Carrollton’s Annual Fourth of July Fireworks Display

History and Ways to Celebrate the Fourth of July

A significant day in American history, the 4th of July, marks the day the United States officially became its own nation. This day is celebrated as America’s birthday with parades, festivals, fireworks, barbecues, and many other festive activities. We have some interesting facts about the significance of the firework display on this day.

Fireworks are the most iconic symbol of the Fourth of July as the celebration is incomplete without a few red, white, and blue explosions in the dark sky. But have you ever thought, why do we celebrate the holiday with colorful explosives? Well, the reason is that fireworks were used to celebrate the first anniversary of the holiday in 1777. Ever since, the display of fireworks at the end of the night has become a tradition that we follow proudly.
